1. Introduction
At Lytii, we are committed to providing a fast, reliable, and open internet experience. This Traffic Management Policy explains how we manage the data traffic on our full-fibre network to ensure all our customers—both residential and business—enjoy the best possible connectivity. Lytii is a subsidiary of Ivx Group. Registered in England and Wales. Company No. 17080224. Registered Address: Suite 70, 60 Tottenham Court Road, London, W1T 2EW, United Kingdom.
2. Our Philosophy: Net Neutrality
Lytii supports the principle of an Open Internet and net neutrality. We believe that all lawful internet traffic should be treated equally. We do not throttle, slow down, prioritise, degrade, or otherwise discriminate against specific types of traffic, content, applications, services, or protocols—whether for commercial gain, to favour particular providers, or to disadvantage others.
Our full-fibre infrastructure is designed to provide seamless performance with consistent upload and download speeds, without the need for routine traffic shaping or application-based controls.
3. Traffic Management Practices
Under normal operating conditions, Lytii does not employ traffic management practices that throttle, limit, or otherwise restrict specific types of traffic or particular online activities. We provide “no cap” broadband, meaning there are no monthly data allowances or artificial speed limits placed on your service based on how much data you use. We also do not apply application-based speed restrictions (for example, to streaming, gaming, VoIP, video conferencing, VPNs, or peer-to-peer traffic).
However, in exceptional circumstances, we may apply proportionate and temporary traffic management measures for the following reasons:
- To comply with legal obligations: If we are required by law or a court order to block access to specific unlawful content or services.
- To preserve network integrity and security: To protect our network and our customers from cyber-attacks, such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, or the spread of malware and viruses.
- To manage temporary or exceptional network congestion: In the rare event of extreme congestion (for example, caused by a major technical failure), we may take temporary measures that are designed to maintain overall service stability and ensure traffic continues to flow for all users as fairly as possible.
4. Categorisation of Traffic
Lytii treats all data packets equally. We do not categorise traffic by type (such as P2P, streaming, gaming, VoIP, video conferencing, or VPN usage) to apply different management rules, and we do not operate paid prioritisation (sometimes called “fast lanes”). Our goal is to ensure that your full-fibre connection delivers seamless performance and consistent speeds regardless of the lawful activity you are performing online.
5. Impact on Service Quality
Because our network is built on modern full-fibre technology, our customers typically experience very low latency and high speeds. Our minimal approach to traffic management means:
- Streaming: You should experience high-quality video without artificial buffering.
- Gaming: You can enjoy low-latency gaming without prioritisation delays.
- Business Applications: VoIP, video conferencing, and cloud services will function without interference.
6. Security Measures
To keep our community safe, we employ automated systems that monitor for patterns indicative of security threats. If we detect traffic that appears to be harmful to our infrastructure or other users, we reserve the right to filter or block that specific traffic. This is a protective measure and is not used to monitor your personal browsing habits.
7. Changes to this Policy
As technology and regulations evolve, we may need to update this policy. Any significant changes to how we manage traffic will be communicated to our customers via our website at lytii.com or through direct notification.
8. Complaints and Contact
If you believe your service is being affected by traffic management in a way that is inconsistent with this policy, please contact our support team. We are committed to transparency and will investigate any concerns regarding your connection speeds or access to content.
